Yuvir Bandhu graduated from the University of Northumbria. He then completed his Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at the same university. He also holds a Master of Law (LLM) in International Human Rights Law. Yuvir is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. He was called to Bar of England and Wales in 2021.
Yuvir completed his pupillage; i) at the DPP office under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Public Prosecution, Mrs. Meenakshi Gayan-Jaulimsing, ii) at the Attorney General Office under the direct supervision of the Assistant Solicitor-General, Sulakshna Beekarry-Sunassee (now a Supreme Court Judge), iii) and under the direct supervision of two Senior Counsel in private practice, Mr. Antoine Domingue SC and Mr. Gavin Glover SC (now the Attorney General.) Yuvir Bandhu was called and admitted to the Mauritian Bar in September 2022. He had the opportunity to serve as a member on the Young Bar Committee in 2023.
